The Town of Lenox is located in the center of New York State in Madison County.

The Township includes the Village of Wampsville, which is home for the County offices and the Village of Canastota. Canastota is exit 34 on the New York State Thruway and home of the Boxing Hall of Fame. Lenox is a combination of villages and rural life.
